Mission of the Gratiot MI Market

The mission of the Gratiot MI Market is to create a diverse and thriving market place for local farmers and crafters to sell their goods. We strive to help local businesses & entrepreneurs through promotion and partnerships; to increase community access to healthy foods; to promote healthy activities; and to be a positive and fun place in the community that customers enjoy visiting again and again.

About Gratiot MI Farmers Market

The St. Louis Farmers Market was founded by Linda Bader in partnership with the St. Louis Middle of the Mitten Association and the Gratiot Area Chamber of Commerce in 2016. Changing hands to Sara Piaskowski in 2023 and expansion 2025.  The market is run by a MIFMA Certified Market manager along with help from a Steering Committee made up of Gratiot Area community and business leaders. All involved are committed to creating a successful and sustainable market.
We are a year round market, with an outdoor summer market in St. Louis, Alma, and Breckenridge MI, that features fresh produce, flowers, plants, baked goods, unique handmade craft items, meat, honey and more.
Alma market is located on State St. next to True Value Hardware in downtown Alma.  This location offers plenty of parking in the heart of downtown with easy access to downtown shops and restaurants.
Breckenridge market is located at the new Pavilion Park, 136 3rd St. Breckenridge. This location offers plenty of parking at the bank and behind Anshultz with public restrooms and seating area.
St. Louis market is located at 201 N. Mill St. St. Louis. This is our home base, year round location. With ADA restrooms and street parking in the heart of downtown St. Louis.
We strive to partner with other community groups who share our mission.  This includes local non-profit groups, service clubs, the schools, human services, healthcare, and transportation services.
To keep the atmosphere fun and positive we also offer space for local musicians to perform at the market, along with events, and activities.
